School History

Swift Creek Elementary School opened its doors in August of 1983 and serves the neighborhoods of Brandermill, Watermill, Edgewater, Mill Crest, and Waterviews at the Reservoir.

Located within the school district is the Swift Creek Reservoir, which is a source of water for Chesterfield County and also provides water recreation for the community. We typically serve approximately 680 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Swift Creek continuously identifies and responds to new and changing educational needs to ensure student success. Concern for children remains our number one priority. With the support and dedication of our excellent staff and community, Swift Creek is and will remain one of the finest elementary schools in the Commonwealth.
